CEO Points To Problems, Successes In Monster’s Earnings Call

Monster Beverage CEO Rodney Sacks noted that sales continue to be challenging in beverage industry in first quarter and remain weak, and that currency issues continued problematic. Company continues to make progress in strategic alignment with Coca-Cola bottlers globally. Last fall, Monster launched “an exciting super soda” named Mutant, and will unveil sister product named White Lightning this summer. Another energy drink, Hydro, packaged in PET bottle, will launch in May.
