Coca-Cola European Partners Needs Solid Summer Sales To Meet Full-Year Goals

The company that resulted from combination of Coca-Cola Enterprises with its Iberian Partners and German division says currency weakness in U.K. dampened first quarter 2017 sales. Coca-Cola European Partners was encouraged, however, by strong net and operating profits that rose by double digits. CEO Damian Gamell called performance “solid,” but warned that reaching full-year targets would require executing marketing and operating plans during critical summer sales season.
