Coca-Cola Shuffles Management In India As It Prepares For Growth

June 19, 2017: 12:00 AM EST
In a renewed quest for growth, Coca-Cola is strengthening its position in strategically important Indian market, sixth largest by volume. Move focuses heavily on shuffling of management both at Coca-Cola India and bottling arm Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. Key changes include transfer of VP Shehnaz Gill from New York to become head of operations in India, and appointment of North American bottling exec Christina Ruggiero as CEO of HCCB. Gill’s new job reflects company preparation for “an integrated national market” expected with implementation of the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) in July. [Image Credit: © Coca-Cola Company ]
