June 1, 2017: 12:00 AM EST
Coca-Cola is increasing the amount of Indian fruit it buys for soft drink manufacturing from current level of 200,000 metric tons annually. Announcement comes two weeks after hiring of T. Krishnakumar as president of Coca-Cola India and South West Asia, and appointment of Asim Parekh as vice president of Fruit Circular Economy for India and South West Asia (INSWABU). Parekh’s mission is to connect end-to-end value chain from farmer to grocer.
