Hormel Adds Breakfast Meals – Including Shelf-Stable Eggs – To Compleats Line

April 2, 2014: 12:00 AM EST
Hormel Foods has introduced four single-serve breakfast meals, including two with real eggs. The company says the new ready meals, part of the Hormel Compleats product family, were developed for Americans who feel breakfast is important but often skip the meal because they don’t have the time to prepare or eat it. The egg-based meals – Bacon Breakfast Scramble and Sausage Breakfast Scramble – are the first to feature shelf-stable eggs, produced by a technology that took five years to develop. The other meals are Roasted Potatoes & Sausage Gravy and Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal. The meals are priced at $2.18 to $2.99.
