Although the connection with its “total beverage company” strategy is little more than a scent, Coca-Cola is nevertheless expanding into cosmetics in a limited-time venture with a Korean beauty brand. The connection in fact is literally a specific bouquet: the brand’s new lipsticks, lip tints, lip glosses, foundation compacts, powders, and eye shadows – many tinted in red, pink, and coral – are all redolent of Coke. The packaging also captures the Coca-Cola look of red and white, and the lip glosses “have a super cute, candy-striped wand,” according to British news website Metro.
