Muller Quaker Opens Yogurt Factory In New York

Muller Quaker Dairy, PepsiCo, Inc.'s joint venture with Theo Muller Group, opened its yogurt manufacturing facility in Batavia, New York. Employing around 180 people, the facility will function as the company's national production and distribution center for Muller yogurt. U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer, company executives, and New York state and local officials attended the opening of the 350,000-square foot facility, which will have three  production lines capable of manufacturing 120,000 cups of yogurt per hour. Yogurt is the fastest growing dairy category in the U.S. and is currently valued at $6.2 billion.
