Nestle Shuffles Senior Management Prior To Arrival Of New CEO Schneider

September 27, 2016: 12:00 AM EST
Nestlé announced that Luis Cantarell, who is retiring as head of European, Middle East and North African operations, will be replaced by waters division chief Marco Settembri [left]. Russia/Eurasia chief Maurizio Patarnello will in turn replace Settembri as head of the waters division, which includes San Pellegrino and Vittel. The changes will take effect on January 1, when the company welcomes its new CEO, Ulf Mark Schneider. The company also announced that the foodservice unit, Nestlé Professional, will be managed regionally, rather than globally, supported by a “strategic business unit.” The move is a response to demand for more locally customized products.
