Tonicorp Doubles Dairy Production Capacity In Ecuador

June 29, 2017: 12:00 AM EST
Tonicorp, a joint venture of Coca-Cola and its largest Latin American bottler, Arca Continental, has opened a new $100 million dairy plant in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The plant will double the production capacity of Tonicorp to 150 million liters of dairy products a year. The plant is a facet of Arca’s plan to significantly expand its share of the high value-added dairy and functional nutrition market in Latin America. Tonicorp produces yogurt, milk, gelatin, hydration beverages and ice cream. A Coke executive said the new plant would enable further innovation in its product portfolio and in “new market segments as well, as a ‘total beverage company.’”[Image Credit: ©  Tonicorp]
